Erratum: “The Effect of Mobile Stroke Unit Care on Functional Outcomes: An Application of the Front-door Formula”

There was an error on the second page of the article “The Effect of Mobile Stroke Unit Care on Functional Outcomes: An Application of the Front-door Formula” which appeared on pages 712-720 of the September 2023 edition of Epidemiology.1

The inclusion criteria for the study were not correctly described.

The correct inclusion criteria should have been:

“Specifically, included patients:

had a final diagnosis of ischemic stroke or TIA; did not have a stroke within the previous 3 months; had no diseases with life expectancy estimated to be less than 1 year; had occlusions in the following locations: Middle cerebral artery (MCA) (proximal M1 segment), MCA (distal M1 segment), MCA (M2-segment), Carotid-T, terminal carotid artery –or– had no contraindication to intravenous thrombolysis (defined as having a first assessed International Normalized Ratio ≥1.7 or having taken direct oral anticoagulant medication (other than dabigatran) within the 48 hours prior to the index event); did not have surgery in the 4 weeks before the index event; and had times from onset to dispatch shorter than 4 hours.” 1. Piccininni M, Kurth T, Audebert HJ, Rohmann JL.
