Expanding WFNMB membership is a key priority, particularly by making membership accessible to countries with small or under-resourced nuclear medicine communities. WFNMB plans to waive membership fees for countries with limited financial resources to encourage universal representation, ensuring that each member country has a voice in shaping global nuclear medicine policies.

As an umbrella organization, WFNMB will work to unify and coordinate activities among regional societies, promoting nuclear medicine worldwide. WFNMB could endorse local and regional society activities and promote them through its website and social media channels, further establishing WFNMB as a global leader.

In addition, WFNMB seeks to foster collaboration with other medical specialities globally, creating a multidisciplinary network to expand nuclear medicine’s reach. Participation of nuclear medicine specialists at these organizations’ conferences, and possibly WFNMB-led workshops during such events, would greatly benefit the Federation’s goals.

A core mission of WFNMB is to promote nuclear medicine in underserved regions, including small countries where nuclear medicine is underdeveloped or non-existent. Working with IAEA and regional associations, WFNMB aims to provide expert missions and knowledge transfer initiatives, regardless of the countries’ membership status.

Achieving these goals will require dedicated effort and passion, but with collective commitment, WFNMB is poised to reach its full potential as the global authority on nuclear medicine. Together, we can advance the Federation and nuclear medicine to the prominence they deserve.
