FP UNS Students Win First Place in Business Plan at NAC 2024

UNS – Students from the Agribusiness Program at the Faculty of Agriculture (FP), Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta, secured first place in the Business Plan Competition at the National Agriculture Competition (NAC) Week 2024, hosted by the Faculty of Agriculture at Universitas Jambi. The UNS team comprised Muhammad Ghozi Ghazali, Ulin Fitriyani, Erlina Yoga Noviana, and Dwi Wahyuningsih.

The National Agriculture Competition (NAC) Week is an annual event featuring national-level competitions and seminars. During this competition, the UNS team developed a business plan called “AgriCal.”

“Our business plan is called AgriCal. It’s an application designed to help farmers determine the best planting times to avoid issues caused by dry or rainy seasons. The app also includes features such as educational videos, planting reports, and various other resources to increase farmers’ productivity,” Ghozi explained to uns.ac.id on Friday (27/9/2024).

Ghozi mentioned that the team, mentored by Amalia Nadifta Ulfa, S.P., M.Sc., a supervising lecturer, had prepared for a month before the competition. However, they faced challenges managing time due to their academic workload and practical assignments.

“The main challenge was time management because in the Faculty of Agriculture, besides regular assignments, we also have practical reports to complete. Coordinating time with team members, who all have different schedules, was tricky, and at times, sacrifices had to be made,” Ghozi added.

The UNS team expressed pride in their achievement, having secured first place in NAC Week 2024, proving that UNS can compete with other universities and stand out as a reputable institution.

“We are incredibly happy to have represented UNS and won first place in NAC Week 2024, competing against teams from other universities. The hard work we put in, from preparation to overcoming challenges, has paid off. Of course, this success wouldn’t have been possible without the support and prayers of those close to us,” Ghozi concluded.
