A Novel Nasal Splint with Airway for Closed Management of Comminuted Nasoseptal Injury

Introduction

Comminuted fractures of the nasoseptal complex require intranasal packs/splints in the postoperative period to maintain the reduction of fracture. Conventional intranasal packs impair normal breathing, act as a nidus of infection and lack adequate stability.

Aim

The technical note describes the design and effectiveness of a CAD/CAM intranasal splint in restoring the form and function of the nasoseptal complex without any complications.

Conclusion

The splint was bio-compatible and patient friendly.
