Jelle Matthijnssens Prof. Jelle Matthijnssens was appointed as assistant professor at the Rega Institute at KU Leuven, Belgium, as of October 2015. His lab developed the NetoVIR protocol for VLP enrichment, which is used to study the virome in relationship with human health and diseases (IBD and liver diseases), as well as the virome of mammals (e.g. bats), insects (mosquitoes and honeybees), plants (e.g. tomato plants), and the environment (air and sewage).
