In Trimble and Patterson (2020) incorrect units of measurement were used when referring to citric acid solution. The correct units of measurement should be mol/L instead of mmol/L.
In the ‘Cough reflex testing (CRT): a potential aid to identifying silent aspirators on CSE?’ section (page 902), the text should read:
Lee et al. (2014) used the mouthpiece method with 0.05 mol/L citric acid solution… whereas Miles et al. (2013b) favoured the face mask method with 0.6 mmol/L
In the ‘Citric acid solution concentration’ section (page 905), the text should read:
The majority of respondents reported that their service used 0.6 mol/L citric acid solution diluted in 0.9% sodium chloride (n = 7 of eight respondents). Only one reported that they used an alternative concentration (3 mol/L).
In Discussion (page 908), the text should read:
Sensitivity and specificity were optimized for FEES at 0.4 mol/L and VFSS at 0.6 mol/L. Sensitivity was improved… sensitivities and specificities were still unremarkable… for FEES with use of 0.6 mol/l citric acid solution
The majority of respondents reported the current or previous use of 0.6 mol/L
In Appendix A (page 914), it should read:
(10) What concentration(s) of citric acid solution were used by your service (mol/L)?
These corrections do not affect the article's results and conclusions in any way.
