Prof. Andrew Agbaje MD, MPH, PhD, FESC, FAHA, FNYAM, Cert. Clinical Research (Harvard).

My research group investigates the causal relationships of aerobic fitness, physical activity, sedentary behaviour, obesity, insulin resistance, dyslipidaemia, blood pressure, and metabolic syndrome with arterial, cardiac, liver, and kidney structure and function from childhood through young adulthood. We apply sophisticated statistical models on large-scale long-term observational data to produce novel results.

These findings have resulted in extensive media coverage, for example, >1600 news outlets picked up our research findings in 2023 with >4.5 billion impressions as estimated by MeltWater company. We have also received several prestigious international awards from the American Heart Association, European Society of Cardiology, European Association for the Study of Obesity, Endocrine Society, etc.
