In the original publication of the article, the following errors were occurred during production process.

In Table 1, the value of “Duration of antibiotic therapy with a 3rd generation cephalosporin in combination with a fluoroquinolone” was incorrectly published as 45–106] (n = 28). The correct value should read as 80.18 [45–106] (n = 28).

Further, in Fig. 1, the following words “Missing, Evaluables, Definitive cohort” were published with underlines in the flow chart. The correct Fig. 1 is provided in this article.

The references from 16 to 22 was published with incorrect order. It was renumbered as 17, 19, 21, 18, 20, 22, 16 and arranged in sequential order. The reference citations were also corrected accordingly.

The original article was updated.
