I am pleased to share the latest issue of Advances in Engineering Education and the final issue for  2023. This starts with an opinion piece on accreditation. Selvan and Warnick critically examine the idea and practice of engineering accreditation and the process as implemented in regions around the world. The authors suggest areas and methods for improvement and propose guidelines for a revised accreditation framework that addresses some of the challenges of the current system. In the second manuscript, Donaldson et al. describe an approach to conduct feedback workshops to  improve students’ feedback experiences while also equipping them with the metacognitive skills needed to facilitate self-regulated learning…
