EU bans sale of menthol cigarettes from today, fines as high as €10,000 for shops selling them
THE sale of menthol cigarettes has been banned throughout Spain from today.
The ban is part of the EU Tobacco Product Directive laws which was introduced in May 2014 and became applicable to European countries in May 2016.

BREAKING: Spain sees an expected increase in number of coronavirus related deaths and new infections following the weekend
BOTH the number of coronavirus related deaths but also the number of new patients have risen slightly in the last 24 hours.
Similarly to every week, the numbers see a slight rise after the weekend, with the number of new deaths today rising to 176, compared to the 123 it was yesterday.
Over 65s account for 87% of coronavirus related deaths in Spain’s Malaga
NEARLY nine in ten coronavirus related deaths in Malaga are in the over 65s age range.
According to data released by the Andalucian Government, 87% of those who have died due to COVID-19 in the province, were over the age of 65.
