Clin Infect Dis. 2023;76(3):e1421–e3. The findings of this study suggest that undetected infections play a significant role in shaping the epidemic’s impact. Furthermore, vaccinating individuals who are most susceptible to infection appears to have a greater impact on diminishing the overall size of the epidemic compared to administering vaccinations to sexual partners after exposure.
