With an increased emphasis on home dialysis therapies and ongoing initiatives to implement the Advancing Kidney Health Initiative (AAKH), ANNA initiated the Home Dialysis Therapies Task Force. The purpose of this Task Force was to implement a Think Tank to explore and identify the nephrology nurses’ roles in home therapies in the current health care environment to ensure the patient’s safe and informed transition to home dialysis.

The Think Tank was an all-day virtual meeting held on April 25, 2022 and the Home Dialysis Therapies Task Force assisted ANNA in clarifying the RNs' role in home dialysis therapies.
