It is our great pleasure to have a special publication in memory of the 38th annual meeting of the Japan Society of Brain Tumor Pathology. The meeting was held online due to the prevalence of COVID-19 infection. From the educational lectures, symposiums and workshop, distinguished presentations are published in this special issue, and will be served for the increasing knowledge of the members of this society.
