Jodi L. Ford, PhD, is Associate Professor and Director of the Stress Science Laboratory, Martha S. Pitzer Center for Women, Children, and Youth, The Ohio State University College of Nursing, Columbus.

Karen P. Williams, PhD, is Nursing Distinguished Professor of Women's Health and Director, Martha S. Pitzer Center for Women, Children, and Youth, The Ohio State University College of Nursing, Columbus.

Jennifer K. Kue, PhD, is Associate Professor, University of South Florida College of Nursing, Tampa.

This supplement was commissioned and funded by the Martha S. Pitzer Center for Women, Children, and Youth and the Stress Science Laboratory at The Ohio State University College of Nursing. Martha S. Pitzer, who died in 2016, received her RN from the Bishop Johnson College of Nursing in Los Angeles, California, and her BS and MS in Nursing as well as her PhD in Family Relations and Human Development from The Ohio State University. Dr. Pitzer served on the nursing faculty of The Ohio State University and Otterbein College for many years and also as a hospital nursing specialist and lactation consultant. In addition, she was a charter member of The Ohio State University Medical Center Service Board and a member of Sigma Theta Tau International. The Pitzer Center, endowed by the Pitzer Family Foundation and directed by Dr. Karen Patricia Williams, is renowned for the discovery of new knowledge and its translation into real-world settings to optimize health and wellness outcomes in infants, children, adolescents, and women through health promotion and risk reduction. The Stress Science Laboratory is directed by Dr. Jodi L. Ford and is composed of faculty and students whose research includes a focus on the relationships between physiological stress and health and well-being, as well as methodological research to advance the validity and reliability of stress biomarkers.

The editors recused themselves from the editorial responsibilities of their own papers.
