Dr Jay Jung Jae Lee is an Assistant Professor at the School of Nursing in the University of Hong Kong. His academic achievements and expertise includes, but is not limited to, nursing education and public health.
Jay has developed his interests in nursing education research since his postgraduate training. During his Masters and PhD, he focused on the paradigm of mobile learning in nursing studies and nursing students’ use of information and communication technologies (ICTs) in clinical contexts. He continues to develop this interest, more recently conducting a project on the use of virtual reality to improve nursing student’s clinical skills as well as to support their psychological well-being.
Jay has also conducted research on mobile health for stroke survivors’ and caregivers’ psychological support, and have made significant contributions to tobacco control research.
Apart from research, he plays a role as an international relation coordinator in his current institution. Through this role, Jay has formed collaborative connections between nursing schools worldwide to enrich students’ learning experiences, such as the development of cultural awareness programmes to enhance nursing students’ cultural competencies.
