Like the blue veins in a fine gorgonzola, his exceptional career as a neuroanaesthetist, neurointensivist, researcher, educator, and editor is enervated by a creativity reaching out from the kitchen. How then to define Giuseppe Citerio, Professor of Anaesthesia and Intensive Care at Milano-Bicocca University (Milan, Italy) and Director of Anaesthesia and Neurosurgical Intensive Care at San Gerardo Hospital in neighbouring Monza? Chef, maybe?
