The New Year Honours List for 2025 was announced on 30 December 2024 and recognises the achievements and service of extraordinary people across the UK.

Dr Penelope Jane Shirlaw received an MBE for services to dentistry. Dr Shirlaw is Chair of the London Local Dental Network and Honorary Consultant, Office of the Chief Dental Officer, NHS England.

Pamela Swain, Chief Executive of the British Association of Dental Nurses (BADN) received an MBE for services to dental nursing and Pamela Auld, lately Senior Dental Nurse, received an MBE for services to dental nursing to patient welfare in Scotland.
