On 20 November 2024, Dr Mustafa Tariq Mohammed was conferred a Knighthood (Cavaliere) of the Order of St Agatha of San Marino during a ceremony at the prestigious In and Out Naval and Military Club in St. James, London. The Honorary Consul, Professor Maurizio Bragagni OBE, presented the award on behalf of the Grand Magistery of the Equestrian Order of St Agatha.

In attendance were Lord Dominic Johnson CBE, The Rt Hon Dame Priti Patel MP, Dr Antonino Masuri, and the Ambassador of Honduras, His Excellency Mr Iván Romero Martinez.

The Equestrian Order of Saint Agatha is a State Order established by the Grand and General Council of the Republic of San Marino on 5 June 1923. It is bestowed upon foreign nationals who have made significant and positive contributions through charitable endeavours or outstanding civil or military services to the Republic. It is also awarded for humanitarian, artistic, political, or sporting accomplishments.

This year, the Republic of San Marino recognised the merits of Dr Mustafa Tariq Mohammed. He was honoured for the support he has offered to the freedom of the Republic during the COVID-19 pandemic, and for his endeavours to strengthen bilateral cooperation between the UK and San Marino.

In particular, the Republic recognised Dr Mohammed's achievements as the Co-Chair of Ability2Win, the campaign to improve the representation of disabled people in the UK at all levels of political life. Dr Mohammed has never spared an effort to bring positive change in the lives of so many disabled people. He has tirelessly campaigned for ‘top-down' change to help increase the representation of people with disabilities in politics.

Dr Mohammed, who is the Chairman of Genix Healthcare, was awarded an Honorary Doctorate from the University of Bolton in 2017 in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the field of dental healthcare education. He was also presented with the prestigious Corporate Power Brokers Award at the Muslim 100 Awards by The Right Honourable Tom Tugendhat MP MBE VR in 2018.
