The progestogen-only pill (POP), Slynd entered the UK Market in 2022. It contains a different type of progestogen to those currently available; drospirenone. Although drospirenone has been part of a number of combined oral contraceptive pills (COCPs) for some time, this is the first licensed preparation of drospirenone alone.
