A supervision panel is a vital resource when undertaking higher degree nurse research studies

When undertaking higher degree research studies, one of the most important resources you have is your supervision panel. The success of the supervisory relationship is widely recognised as key to the journey that follows (Sverdlik et al 2018). If you have yet to embark on that journey, we would strongly encourage you to stop and think about the supervision team before you enrol on your programme of study. Consider what makes a good supervisor, talk to supervisors and students about their experiences, and reflect on your needs (Halcomb 2023).
