In a recent edition of Endocrine Practice, Hidalgo et al reported a real-world assessment of the frequency of symptoms (mainly fatigue) that persist after therapeutic correction of hypothyroidism with L-Thyroxine.1

This is a common and largely undocumented problem that has frustrated both endocrinologists and patients for many years. My clinical observation has been that the persistence of symptoms following correction of hypothyroidism is not as common when the hypothyroidism is due to
