Editorial overview: Molecular determinants, mechanisms, and state-of-the-art approaches in allostery

Igor N. Berezovsky is a Senior Principal Scientist at the Bioinformatics Institute (A∗STAR, Singapore) and Adjunct Associate Professor at the Department of Biological Sciences of the National University of Singapore. He is known for discovery of closed loops (basic units of protein structure determined by the polymer nature of protein backbones), works on the emergence and evolution of protein function, and studies of molecular mechanisms of protein stability and adaptation. Dr. Berezovsky's current interests include protein allostery, from mechanisms to implications in molecular diagnostics and design of drugs/biologics, biophysics of chromatin and epigenetic regulation, protein physics and evolution.
