How can we be in service of others as authentic allies? In this special topics series on health care equity and inclusion, we offer resources for caring for patients and families. The articles encompass barriers to equity in the social determinants of health, and limitations to living, growing, and aging freely and safely in homes and communities. Populations covered include LGBTQ+, African American childbearing women, and culturally and racially diverse families experiencing grief and bereavement.
