Switchable tuning selectivity of CO2 hydrogenation via anions modification over Ru/TiO2 catalyst

A series of Ru/TiO2 catalysts modified by various anions (SO42-, NO3-, CO32-, OH-, Cl-) were prepared by a simple impregnation method. The performance evaluation showed that the change of anions type of Ru/TiO2 catalysts surface realized the complete conversion from CO to CH4 in CO2 hydrogenation products, which may be due to the surface anions affected the adsorption of CO intermediates.
