Cytodiagnosis of giant cell tumor presenting at unusual age and site with review of literature

Giant cell tumour (GCT), also known as osteoclastoma, is an osteolytic tumour. It involves the epiphyseal and metaphyseal regions of long bones in adults. Rarely these may occur in pediatric patients as well as involve uncommon locations such as sternum, pelvis and occasionally, rib bones. We present a rare case of GCT arising from a rib in a child, diagnosed on fine needle aspiration.
