The success of a haematopoietic stem-cell transplantation (HSCT) programme relies heavily on appropriately trained and experienced nursing staff. The European Blood and Marrow Transplantation (EBMT) Nurses Group's mission is to enhance and value the nurse's role globally—supporting and sharing knowledge through communication, advocacy, research, training, and education. The group is dedicated to improving the care of patients receiving HSCT and works towards promoting excellence in care, through recognising, building upon, and providing evidence-based practice.
