Ethical appoval

The analysis of routinely collected mortality records is a mandatory activity of the Epidemiology Department according to the regional law (LR n11 February 16, 2010 – institution of the mortality registry; DGR n14 January 11, 2011 – assignment of the registry to the Epidemiology Department). Therefore, this study is exempt from Institutional Review Board approval.
