YuLiu is the Dean and Full Professor of the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering at the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China. He received his PhD degree in Mechatronics Engineering from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China. He was a Visiting Pre-doctoral Fellow in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Northwestern University, Evanston, U.S.A. from 2008 to 2010, and a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, at the University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada from 2012 to 2013. He has published over 90 peer-reviewed papers in international journals, such as IEEE Transactions on Reliability, IISE Transactions, Naval Research Logistics, European Journal of Operational Research. He has been recognized as one of the Most Cited Chinese Researchers by Elsevier since 2016 and the World’s Top 2% Scientists since 2020. He was a recipient of the National Science Fund for Excellent Young Scholars, IISE QCRE Teaching Award, Dengjiaxian Youth Science and Technology Award, Youth Science and Technology Award of Operations Research Society of China, Youth Science and Technology Award of Sichuan Province. He serves as an Associate Editor of IISE Transactions and IEEE Transactions on Reliability and in the editorial board of several prestigious international journals, such as, Reliability Engineering and System Safety, Quality and Reliability Engineering International. He serves as the chair of IEEE Reliability Society Chengdu Section Chapter, the Vice President of the Reliability Committee of Operations Research Society of China. He is an ISEAM Fellow and a senior member of IISE and IEEE.
Professor Hong-Zhong Huang, PhD. Hong-Zhong Huang received the B.S. degree from Wuhan University, Wuhan, China, in 1983, the M.S. degree from Chongqing University, Chongqing, China, in 1988, and the Ph.D. degree from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai, China, in 1999, all in mechanical engineering. He is a Full Professor of Mechanical Engineering with the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, Chengdu, China. He is also the Director with the Center for System Reliability and Safety, University of Electronic Science and Technology of China. He has held visiting appointments at several universities in the USA, Canada, and Asia. He has authored or coauthored more than 350 journal papers and eight books in the fields of reliability engineering, optimization design. Prof. Huang is also an ISEAM Fellow, a Technical Committee Member of ESRA, a Co-Editor-in-Chief for the International Journal of Reliability and Applications, and an Editorial Board Member of several international journals.
Jingjun YU is a Professor in School of Mechanical Engineering and Automation at Beihang University. He received his Ph. D. degree from Robotics Institute, Beihang University in 2002, the M.S. and B.S. degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Yanshan University in 1998 and 1995, respectively. Since 2004 he become a faculty member of Beihang University. He was a visiting researcher at Kyushu University, Japan in 2005-2006, and a visiting scholar at MIT, USA in 2009-2010. Prof. Yu has published 12 books and over 180 papers in refereed journals and refereed conference proceedings, over 30 authorized patents. His research interests include Design theory of Compliant Mechanisms and Robotics, Precision Machine Design, and Modern Kinematics Geometry. He is now an editor board member of two journals Frontiers of Mechanical Engineering and Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering.
Dr. Zequn Wang is a professor in Mechanical Engineering at University of Electronic Science and Technology of China. Dr. Wang received his B.E. in 2006 and M.S. in 2009, both in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Science & Technology Beijing in China. He obtained his doctoral degree in Industrial Engineering at Wichita State University in 2014. Dr. Wang’s research is primarily focused on developing advanced machine learning approaches for the reliability-based design under uncertainty and failure diagnostics/prognostics of safety-critical engineered systems. He is a member of Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIE), the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA).
