Multidisciplinary approach to patients with lymphatic conduction disorders

Lymphatic dysfunction and abnormalities in the lymphatic system affect millions of people throughout the world causing debilitating symptoms, impairing their quality of life and in some cases shortening their life as well. Recognition and characterization of lymphatic disorders has become increasingly more common with the more recent development of multicompartment access techniques for imaging the lymphatic system with MR Lymphangiography. With the more readily available ability to visualize the lymphatic system, there has been an increased interest in developing lymphatic programs to support the imaging and interventional possibilities to take care of this extremely complex patient population. It is important in ensuring these programs' sustainability to develop a strong foundation that will optimize lymphatic patient outcomes.
