Obesity is reported to have increased adverse cardiometabolic consequences in people with T1D.1, 2, 3However, the extent of the association between increased BMI and cardiovascular complications, especially hypertension, in T1D patients remains unclear. To address this knowledge gap, we conducted a study to estimate the risk of developing arterial hypertension in a large cohort of T1D individuals based on their BMI.
