This meta-analysis looked at different surgical techniques (periareolar, pedicled NAC, DIFNG) and their surgical outcomes; results showed that periareolar technique has the highest rates of complication and reoperation rates, followed by pedicled NAC and then DIFNG techniques. This aligns with the fact that while DIFNG technique leaves the heaviest scar burden, it is the most reproducible technique with smallest risk of revision/ complication.
