Antibiotic-induced neurological adverse drug reactions

Antibacterial agents can bring about various CNS ADRs. They are described not only with the drugs mentioned above but also with other class of antibiotic like quinolones, sulfonamides, aminoglycosides, macrolides, carbapenems, tetracyclines, oxazolidinones, polymyxines and metronidazole [4], [22].

Several case reports illustrate the variety of clinical presentations depending on drug and are linked to specific mechanism.
