Ultrasound and X-ray guided prenatal embolization of massive chorioangioma

Chorioangioma is a vascular placental tumor occurring in 1% of all pregnancies. The giant form (larger than 4-5 cm) remains rare with an estimated prevalence between 1/9000 and 1/3500. However, these giant chorioangiomas are associated with severe maternal and fetal complications requiring appropriate antenatal management1,2. We report a case of a giant chorioangioma treated with selective percutaneous occlusion of the feeder vessel.
