A Rare Case of Cervical Cancer Complicated by Bleeding

Purpose

A patient with locally advanced cervical cancer complicated by bleeding successfully underwent emergency radical surgery as the final treatment. Despite the bleeding complication and low hemoglobin levels (65 g/L), the patient had a favorable postoperative period without additional chemotherapy or recurrence.

Background

Cervical cancer is the most common type of cancer in developing countries. Early diagnosis and treatment can help cure cervical cancer. Vaginal bleeding in patients with locally advanced cervical cancer can be fatal.

Case Report

We report the case of a patient with locally advanced cervical cancer complicated by bleeding, who successfully underwent emergency radical surgery as the final treatment. Despite bleeding complications and low hemoglobin levels (65 g/L), the patient had a favorable postoperative period without additional chemotherapy or recurrence.

Conclusion

This case highlights that locally advanced cervical cancer complicated by bleeding can be successfully treated with radical surgery and has a significant effect on the outcome of cervical cancer, with a favorable postoperative period without significant complications.
