Hokkaido University and University of Massachusetts Amherst have cherished one of the longest partnerships since the time of their foundation, Sapporo Agricultural College and Massachusetts Agricultural College in the 19th century. Reflecting joint appointment of faculties and research collaboration in recent years, the two universities agreed to expand inter-university research-based collaborations as Strategic International Research Partners. This inaugural virtual symposium will showcase potential collaboration seeds in Polymer Science and Engineering, and welcome academics and students of both universities, and those who are interested in the theme.
