Hokkaido University established the International Recruitment Office earlier this year for the purpose of recruiting graduate students. A 2-day kick-off symposium will be held in a hybrid format for the first day and on-site-only for the second day.  

Experts from overseas and Japanese universities will speak on “Graduate Student Recruitment Strategies” and “Digitalization of Electronic Credential Verification.”

On the second day, a networking event will follow the symposium.

Day 1: January 30, 2024 (Tue.) 13:00-17:00 (JST) 

Day 2: January 31, 2024 (Wed.) 10:30-12:00 (JST) 

Format: 

Day 1: On-site and online 

Day 2: On-site only 

Language: 

Mainly in Japanese. Simultaneous interpretation to Japanese for English presentations. 

On-site Venue: 

Conference Hall, Hokkaido University 

*The networking event will take place at the café next door. 

Participants: 

300 people on a registration basis for the symposium 

40 people on a registration basis for the networking event 

*There is a 4,000 JPY fee for the networking event.
