Fertility in Indigenous Communities: An Environmental Justice Perspective

Dr. Judith T. Zelikoff is a professor in the division of Environmental Medicine at NYU Grossman School of Medicine. Dr. Zelikoff's focus is on community- academic partnerships, working with marginalized communities (including the Ramapough Lunaape Tribal Nation) in New Jersey and New York City to build capacity in the field of toxicology and environmental health. Ongoing studies in her laboratory are focused on the effects of inhaled environmental toxicants, such as ambient air particles (PM), cigarette smoke or its components, as well as alternative tobacco products including electronic-cigarettes on reproduction and fetal development, cardiovascular, neurological and pulmonary health.
