Evaluation of videos on YouTube about urinary catheter in terms of the education of nursing students

This article describes the findings of a study to evaluate the quality of videos on urinary catheter insertion and removal on the video sharing site YouTube. Nursing faculties prepare or recommend videos for nursing practices that are intended to be learned for students. However, YouTube videos are easy to access and students are likely to watch YouTube videos during and after learning the targeted subjects. Therefore, the quality of YouTube videos is important to students and clinical nurses. This study evaluated 653 YouTube videos about urinary catheter insertion and removal.
