UNS – The series of National Festival events at Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta closed with a lively music concert. Carrying the theme ‘Musik Menjangkau Jiwa’ (Music Reaches the Soul), the music concert was held at the UNS Rectorate courtyard, Sunday night (21/5/2023). The National Festival itself was the result of collaboration between UNS and the Association of Singers, Songwriters and Musicians of the Republic of Indonesia (PAPPRI).

The ‘Musik Menjangkau Jiwa’ concert was a moment of celebration for young souls who love Indonesia. Some of the capital’s musicians who performed were Once Mekel, Raissa Anggiani, Alffy Rev, Dewa Budjana, Dwiki Dharmawan, Gilang Ramadhan, Al Zastrow, and Ki Ageng Ganjur. Thousands of spectators watched and enjoyed the concert in commemoration of this National Awakening Day.

There were also the Rector of UNS, Prof. Dr. Jamal Wiwoho, S.H., M.Hum .; Secretary General of PAPPRI, Dwiki Dharmawan; Deputy Chairman of the BPK, Dr. Agus Joko Pramono, M. Acc., Ak.; the Rector of Universitas Negeri Gorontalo, Dr. Ir. Eduart S.T., M.T., IPM .; the Interim Director General of Higher Education, Research and Technology, Prof. Ir. Nizam, M.Sc., DIC., Ph.D., ASEAN Eng., and others attending and watching the concert.

In his remarks, Prof. Nizam said that music is a universal language. Music unites us all in diversity. Prof. Nizam also appreciated the holding of this music concert.

“I express my appreciation to PAPPRI and UNS for organizing this event. Let’s look after and celebrate the diversity of our arts,” Prof. Nizam said.

The spectators were presented with music of various genres from each artist. Alffy Rev became the opening act at this concert. The next performers were Ki Ageng Ganjur, Gilang Ramadhan, and Dwiki Dharmawan.

The last two performers namely Raisa Anggiani and Once Mekel spoiled the audience even more. Raisa Anggiani performed the songs You Are My Home and Again. While Once Mekel performed the songs Dealova and Symphoni yang Indah. Once’s appearance was even more lively because he collaborated with Dewa Budjana to perform the song 11 January. Humas UNS
