Unusual skin and eyelid changes in a neonate with pseudohypoaldosteronism

A 3-day-old male neonate was admitted with respiratory distress requiring oxygen. Poor feeding, mild dehydration and pustular erythematous rash on his face were noted. The parents were anxious as an older sibling died on day 9 of life with a similar illness. Initial investigation of serum electrolytes, blood gas and sepsis screen were normal.
