Rare hemorrhagic presentation of a brain arterioveinous malformation

Acute non-traumatic subdural hematomas (ANSDH) are rare and have been reported in cases of ruptured brain arteriovenous malformations (BAVM) related to aneurysm located on extranidal pial branches. This atypical cause of bleeding in the context of a BAVM must be known as it easily accessible to an endovascular management. In this report, we describe a unique case of ANSDH in a BAVM patient secondary to an aneurysm of a middle meningeal artery (MMA) transdural anastomosis.
