Correction to: Astragalicola ephedrae sp. nov., isolated from the stem of Ephedra gerardiana in Ladakh, India

In the original article describing a new fungal species Astragalicola ephedrae published on February 10, 2023 (Mattoo and Nonzom 2023), we missed to write the statement that this species is preserved in a metabolically inactive state. Therefore, the name was invalidly published as per Article 40.8 of the Shenzhen Code of the International Code of Nomenclature for algae, fungi, and plants (Turland et al. 2018). Here, we validate the name Astragalicola ephedrae by adding the earlier missed statement along with a new Mycobank number as follows:

Astragalicola ephedrae A. J. Mattoo & S. Nonzom sp. nov. Mycobank MB 847722.

For a detailed description, see Mattoo and Nonzom, Folia Microbiol. (Prague) 10.1007/s12223–023-01,041–3: [5] (2023).
