A multiplex immunoassay that detects serum antibodies to disease-related proteins expressed in the joints can discriminate patients with early rheumatoid arthritis (RA) from healthy individuals with high specificity, according to new findings published in Arthritis & Rheumatology. Notably, in the study, the immunoassay was also useful for identifying patients with early seronegative RA.
