The guest editors of this issue of Seminars in Neurology are Drs. Joshua Weaver and Ilene Ruhoy.

Dr. Weaver received his Bachelor of Arts from Harvard College, followed by his MD from Albert Einstein College of Medicine. His internship and residency took place at Weill Cornell Medical College, where he was also chief resident. He then did a fellowship at Cornell in Neurophysiology, and then after joining faculty, later did an Integrative Medicine Fellowship at the Academy of Integrative Health and Medicine. At Cornell as assistant professor, he served as the Neurology Clerkship Director, and is currently Assistant Dean of Student Affairs, belying his dedication and passion for education. His greatest clinical passion is spinal and peripheral nerve disorders, and he is the primary neurologist at Weill Cornell's Center for Comprehensive Spine Care. He is very active in American Academy of Neurology Committee work, including on the Neurohealth and Integrative Neurology Section and A.B. Baker Section on Neurological Education, to name a few. He is a rising leader in the field of integrative medicine, and was a natural choice to help lead this issue on preventive neurology, in which he has become quite expert.

Dr. Ilene Ruhoy received her BS in biology from Marymount College, followed by her MD from the University of Pittsburgh. She received her PhD from the University of Nevada, receiving the Outstanding Graduate Award, in the field of environmental science and policy. Her residency took place at the University of Washington in Seattle, where she did additional training in neuromuscular medicine. She further received fellowship training at the University of Arizona in the Program in Integrative Medicine. She is now medical director at the Chiari EDS Center at Mt. Sinai South Nassau in New York. She is a renowned expert and national and international lecturer on Chiari malformations, migraines, and mitochondrial diseases. She is also a nationally recognized awardee in the field of environmental medicine, with awards from the US Environmental Protection Agency. She is extensively published in the field of neurology, particularly in environmental medicine and integrative medicine, and is a well-known leader in the field of preventive neurology.

We greatly appreciate the efforts of Drs. Ruhoy and Weaver, as well as all of the contributing authors, for their wonderful work in this issue of Seminars: Preventive Neurology. This is an under-recognized and under-appreciated field of neurology, but one that is vitally important to our practice, as preventing disease is key to preserving function for the wide spectrum of neurological disorders. I have personally learned so much in reading the manuscripts for this issue, which are insightful, erudite, and practical. Drs. Weaver and Ruhoy have been such a delight to work with, and I appreciate their patience with me as I've learned about this relatively new and growing field! I also appreciate their diligence and hard work to ensure a great issue for our readers. We hope you enjoy this most excellent issue of Seminars in Neurology!
