Cobalt(Ⅲ)-Catalyzed weakly coordinating arylurea-directed regio-selective mono-olefination

Herein, we reported air stable, earth-abundant cobalt (III)-catalyzed regio-selective mono-olefination of arenes directed by urea under mild conditions through cross-dehydrogenative coupling( CDC) process . Under the optimized conditions, the high regioselectivity of mono-olefination was examined with various of electron-rich and electron-deficient arenes, affording E-alkenylated products (up to 90%). Compared to the conditions of noble metals catalyzed olefination directed by weak-coordinating groups, our reaction was operated under mild conditions, including mild temperature (40 ℃) and non-metallic oxidant.
