The Center for Entrepreneurship and Organizational Excellence (CEOE) at Qatar University Honors the Winners of the (Start Your Journey in the World of Entrepreneurship) Competition

The Center for Entrepreneurship and Organizational Excellence (CEOE) at the College of Business and Economics at Qatar University (QU), in cooperation with Eden Solution Company, organized an exhibition to display the posters of the participants and honor the winners of the (Start Your Journey into the Entrepreneurship World) competition.
Students participated in displaying their own research posters to the jury, to benefit from the jury’s experience in developing projects put forward by the students of the Business Administration Entrance course.

Participating in the jury were: Dr. Sarah Al-Maadeed, Assistant Professor at the College of Administration and Economics, Dr. Mazen Al-Adenat, Lecturer in Management, College of Administration and Economics, Prof. Etidal Al-Qatami, Director of Events and Ceremonies at Qatar University, Mr. Omar Sharif from Eden Solution Company and Prof. Aris Bedrosian from Eden Solution.

Each of the following projects won the first four places: In terms of projects for students (boys), the project (Application of Discounts) presented by student Talha Marwan won the first place, while the project (Individual Food Vending Machine) won the second place. The project (Car Service Workshop) by student Abdullah Suhail ranked third, and the project (Tarsheed for car paint) by student Omar Ismail came in fourth place.

As for the first four projects for female students, the “Glass House” project by student Nora Al-Subaie won first place, and “Rawya” project for female students: Kholoud Al-Obaidly, Al-Duha Al-Thani, Hayat Al-Balushi, Ghala Al-Nuaimi, Mai Al-Khater, and Lunar Cafe project won second place. Third place, and the (Mobile Dental Clinic) project for female students: Noura Al-Kaabi, Moza Al-Nuaimi, Zainab Ali, Sheikha Al-Nuaimi, and Maryam Alyan came in fourth place.

In his statement, Dr. Mohamed El-Gammal, Head of Case Studies and Community Communication Department at The Center for Entrepreneurship and Organizational Excellence at the College of Business and Economics: “The Center for Entrepreneurship and Organizational Excellence is pleased to organize an event for your journey to the world of entrepreneurship. A company specialized in the world of business and entrepreneurship. The competition aims to increase students’ awareness of the world of entrepreneurship, share their ideas and entrepreneurial projects, and provide training for students on how to implement an entrepreneurial project plan. Eden Solution will also select some projects to support and adopt in order to move them from the idea stage to the implementation stage.”

For his part, Dr. Mazen Al-Adenat said: "This event aims to motivate students to engage in the world of entrepreneurship. This event was organized in cooperation with The Center for Entrepreneurship and Organizational Excellence at College of Business and Economics, the Department of Management and Marketing, through an Introduction to Business Administration course and Eden Solution.”

In their participation, the students shed light on an idea for a pilot project, how to achieve financial returns for any project, what groups will be targeted (clients), the stages of completion of this project and the challenges it will face, and how it is possible to create opportunities through these challenges; This will contribute to providing students with the necessary and required skills to create future opportunities for them in this field.”

Dr. Sarah Al-Maadeed, Assistant Professor at the College of Business and Economics, said: "The students of the (Introduction to Business) participated in the event and the students worked during the semester on projects for the entrepreneurial world. We are here today to review and evaluate these projects and honor the students who submitted New and innovative pioneering ideas, in order to enhance the efforts made by the participating students and motivate them to enroll in the College of Business and Economics.”

Ms. Etidal Al Qatami, Lecturer in Entrepreneurship and Director of Events and Honors at Qatar University, said: “This event aims to help students engage in the experience of the world of entrepreneurship, and this event comes to encourage students to understand the world of entrepreneurship and expand students’ perceptions in the world of entrepreneurial projects. Studying markets, target groups, community needs, and changing students’ perceptions by presenting projects to discover gaps in the labor market, which will contribute to the students’ involvement in bridging market gaps, and this event will also contribute to encouraging students to participate in various competitions held in this field.

Mr. Omar Sharif and Mr. Aris Bedrosian from Eden Solution said: “Eden Solution works to support Qatar University and the activities carried out by various colleges by transforming the company into a platform for university students for training or to provide ideas for pioneering projects and help them in Develop and develop this idea, and the company will contribute to providing student training in the field of information technology. We started this agenda with the Center for Leadership and Institutional Excellence, which welcomed the company’s vision and support, and we are happy with this step, which will benefit the company, the center and the students.”
