This issue of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Clinics of North America is authored by gynecologic radiology experts and covers a wide range of pathologic conditions and topics. The first article focuses on the anatomical MR appearance of the ovaries in patients of all ages. A range of adnexal developmental anomalies and variants are then presented, followed by a dedicated article on fallopian tubes. A detailed discussion of ovarian neoplasms, including benign, borderline, malignant, and germ cell, and sex-cord stromal lesions then follows.

An article dedicated to O-RADS MRI reviews the lexicon and classification system of these aforementioned neoplasms. The imaging appearance of metastatic disease to the adnexa is then discussed as are imaging findings of acute adnexal pathology condition, adnexal endometriosis, and mimics of adnexal pathology condition. Characterization and risk stratification of many of these entities requires excellent MR technique and image acquisition, which are summarized last (as we are referring to an article here).
