T cell receptor signaling in the differentiation and plasticity of CD4+ T cells

Heikrujam Thoihen Meitei is Research Associate at National Centre for Cell Science, Pune, India. He submitted his thesis on “Chemokine receptor CCR6 signaling in CD4 T cell activation and differentiation”. He received a Senior Research Fellowship from the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. His key publications are in the Autoimmunity Reviews, Journal of Autoimmunity, and Journal of Investigative Dermatology. He is also a trainee member of the Society for Leukocyte Biology, USA, and the life member of Indian Immunology Society, India.

Girdhari Lal received a Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. He was an Assistant Professor at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, New York City, USA, before returning to India in 2010. Dr. Lal’s Laboratory is interested in understanding the cellular and molecular mechanism of immune tolerance. His laboratory is investigating the role of neuroimmune communication in Autoimmunity and Cancer. He has published >58 papers and presented his work in about 160 national and international meetings. He received several national and international awards, including the Ramalingaswami Fellowship and Innovative Young Biotechnologist Award from the Department of Biotechnology, and Swarnjayanti Fellowship from the Department of Science and Technology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India.
