New scalp swelling in a child with tuberous sclerosis complex

A 2-year-old girl was seen with a history of paroxysmal stereotypical episodes of stiffening of left hand, staring and clenching her teeth with impaired awareness. These were confirmed as focal motor seizures.

The child was born following an uneventful pregnancy and had normal development so far. She was the only child of non-consanguineous parents. There was no significant family history.
