The impact of adipokines on vascular networks in adipose tissue

Dr Maria Vliora I have finished her Master degree in Molecular Biology where I studied downstream signaling of ALK in neuroblastoma. Currently I am completing my PhD in University of Thessaly, Greece and University of Brescia, Italy, where I am focusing on environmental effects on human health and specifically adipose tissue metabolism. During the past years I have worked as a researcher in multiple EU funded projects, focused on brown adipose tissue in biomedical research.

Prof Stefania Mitola Prof Stefania Mitola, full professor in Biochemistry, at the Department of Molecular and Translational Medicine, University of Brescia, Italy. She has a great experience in angiogenesis. She contributed to the identification of novel and productive ligand/receptor interactions ( Gremlin/VEGFR2, HMGB1/RAGE). During the past years she was involved in “SCAFFY” project an EU funded project, focused on the develop of bioscaffold for the regeneration of brown adipose tissue.
